Neuter Now Hawaii

PLEASE NOTE:

Because of the high demand for Neuter Now certificates, the funding that the City and County set aside for the Neuter Now program for this fiscal year has run out. It is anticipated to restart in July when the City and County’s new fiscal year begins, although this has not yet been decided for certain. Please check back for news about the Neuter Now program as it becomes available at: www.hawaiianhumane.org.

There are more cats and dogs on Oahu than there are loving homes. To help reduce pet overpopulation, the Neuter Now program offers a cost-effective way for pet owners to sterilize their pets.

The Neuter Now program is funded by the City and County of Honolulu. The Hawaiian Humane Society manages the program at no cost to the City or taxpayers, and local veterinarians voluntarily perform the surgeries at significantly reduced rates.

Certificates may be purchased from the Hawaiian Humane Society or at any Satellite City Hall location. The certificate may then be redeemed at any of 16 participating veterinary locations islandwide. Click here to see a list of locations and to download the form, or visit the Hawaiian Humane Society online for more information.

The cost of the certificate is:

  • $40 for male cat
  • $50 for female cat
  • $125 for male dog
  • $150 for female dog
